1 Timothy 1:8-10

But we know that the law is good, if one uses it lawfully, realizing the fact that law is not made for a righteous person, but for those who are lawless and rebellious, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers and immoral men and homosexuals and kidnappers and liars and perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound teaching,

God made the law to be used for Good. He meant for the law to be obeyed because He felt if the law would be carried out, the world would be a great place. Law is not made for a righteous people but is meant for the immoral person. Paul lists the different kind of immoral people that need the law. When God put law into society, He meant it for people to obey it. Our Holy Father is so great in that aspect that He knew the law, and He knew what would happen when law was introduced.
