1 Timothy 5:11-16

But refuse to put younger widows on the list, for when they feel sensual desires in disregard of Christ, they want to get married, thus incurring condemnation, because they have set aside their previous pledge. At the same time they also learn to be idle, as they go around from house to house; and not merely idle, but also gossips and busybodies, talking about things not proper to mention. Therefore, I want younger widows to get married, bear children, keep house, and give the enemy no occasion for reproach; for some have already turned aside to follow Satan. If any woman who is a believer has dependent widows, she must assist them and the church must not be burdened, so that it may assist those who are widows indeed.

Younger women want to feel sensual desires instead of Christ which can lead to unGodliness. Women who are widows at a very young age lose their sight of Christ, and set it on finding a husband and a great life. This becomes a problem when people lose their fire for Christ. Paul is telling Timothy that women should get married, so they can continue to worship and follow the Lord in their daily lives. People who has dependent widows must be assisted, so the chruch must not be burdened. They must be helped because everyone less fortunate than us should be taken care of.

1 Timothy 5:8-10

But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever. A widow is to be put on the list only if she is not less than sixty years old, having been the wife of one man, having a reputation for good works; and if she has shown hospitality to strangers, if she has washed saints' feet, if she has assisted in those in distress, and she has devoted herself to every good work.

If people cannot take care of their family, they are unfit for God and faith. They are of no difference to unbelievers because they can do that also. Part of living our life for Christ includes taking care of the family that God has bestowed on us. As men and women of Christ, we need to care for our families. Good works do nothing without Jesus. I heard a sermon that said that Jesus plus nothing=salvation.

1 Timothy 5:1-4

Do not sharply rebuke an older man, but rather appeal to him as a father, to the younger men as brothers, the older women as mothers, and the younger women as sisters, in all purity. Honor widows who are widows indeed; but if any widow has children or grandchildren, they must first learn to practice piety in regard to their own family and to make some return to their parents; for this is acceptable in the sight of God.

We should always appeal to an old man as father, not rebuke him. Older men of God are highly respected in the family, and they should all be loved. It is acceptable in the sight of God to learn piety in the sense of raising a family. When a man and woman of Christ raise a family with true Christian values, they should truly be loved and respected.

1 Timothy 4:10-16

For it is for this we labor and strive, because we have fixed our hope on the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of believers. Prescribe and teach these things. Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but rather in speech, conduct, love, faith and purity, show yourself an example of those who believe. Until I come, give attention to the public reading of Scripture, to exhortation and teaching. Do not neglect the spiritual gift within you, which was bestowed on you through prophetic utterance with the laying of hands by the presbytery. Take pains with these things; absorbed in them, so that your progress will be evident to all. Pay close attention to yourself and your teaching; persevere in these things, for as you do this you will ensure salvation both for yourself and for those who hear you.

Everyone has their hope on God because there is no hope in this worldly world. There is nothing that we can place our hope in except Jesus; our Lord and Savior. He is the savior of all men. For people who are saved Children of God, we need to go out and spread the Glorious word of Christ to everyone. It is so important that more and more people can hear the word of Christ, so that we continue to keep adding to our family. No one should look at age, but at someone's heart for Christ. We should act in a grateful manner with purity, love, and faith. Our heart for Christ is so important because whatever is stored up in our heart will come out of our mouths. If we have passion and love Christ in our hearts, we will continue to have passion and love for our neighbors, brothers and sisters. We should never abolish the spiritual gifts that we have received from God. These are special gifts that we have been given, and we should use them to the best of our God-Given ability. We should pay close to attention to what we do in the name of Christ because God judges everything that we do.

1 Timothy 4:6-9

In pointing out these things to the brethren, you will be a good servant of Jesus Christ, constantly nourished on the words of the faith and of the sound doctrine which you have been following. But have nothing to do with worldly fables fit only for old women. On the other hand, discipline yourself for the purpose of Godliness; for bodily discipline is only of little profit, but Godliness is profitable for all things, since it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come. It is a trustworthy statement deserving full acceptance.

We should all be good servants for Jesus Christ. We should be fully living out our lives for Him. He is the one who has given us breath and life, and we owe Him everything. He died on the cross for us knowing what would happen. He loved us that much that he sacrificed Himself for us. We should continue and always follow the Bible which is the only doctrine that we should truly follow and live out. We should have nothing to do with myths and worldly fables that don't really accomplish everything. God wants us to be reading his word not reading silly myths. We should be disciplining ourselves for the sake that God loves us. We should all want to be men and women of God. Since God loves us so much, the least that we can do is to completely live our lives out for Him. When we live in Godliness, it doesn't only benefit us now but in Heaven also. Since Jesus is truth, we should completely live out our lives for HIM!!!!!!

1 Timothy 4:1-6

But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons, by means of the hypocrisy of liars seared in their own conscience as with a branding iron, men who forbid marriage and advocate abstaining from foods which God has created to be gratefully shared in by those who believe and know the truth. For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with gratitude; for it is sanctified by means of the word of God and prayer.

It is true when the Spirit says that people will fall from the faith because people pray and meditate to other things than God. Some people have the problem of idolatry and worshipping everything except Jesus. We have a big problem in this country with who we decide to worship. Trip Lee is one of my favorite Christian rappers. In one of his songs titled Cash or Christ?, he goes into how money is the only God we trust. In a way it's true, all of what people want to do is get money and spend it. This is not what God wants us to worship because He wants us to worship Him. Some people in this country read and study man-made doctrines such as the catholics, jews, mormons and jehovah's witnesses. These man-made religions teach the fact that we have to be afraid when we leave faith, or we will be shunned from our family. Another big problem with men who practice man-made religions listen to all of these rules to be saved. Their conscience is treated and manipulated so that they have to obey certain doctrines or follow silly rules. When God created the world, He created it with the intention of good. (Genesis 1:31) Nothing should be rejected since it is from God. Since we ask for things in prayer (which is made Holy in His name), we should never reject it, since it is a gift from God.

1 Timothy 3:1-6

It is a trustworthy statement; if any man aspires to be the office of overseer, it is a fine work he desires to do. An overseer, then, must be above reproach, the husband of one wife, temperate, prudent, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, not addicted to wine or pugnacious, but gentile, peaceable, free from the love of money,. He must be one who manages his own household well, keeping his children under control with all dignity (but if a man does not know how to manage his own household, how we will he take care of the church of God?), and not a new convert, so that he will not become conceited and fall into the condemnation incurred by the devil.

Wow there was a lot in this juicy passage, lol. If a man wants to be an overseer, he needs to do all of these things that are required. He must be above reproach. A man should not fall into the feeling of disappointed a lot. God never tells his people to be disappointed. It is important for a man of God to not commit fornication. He should marry a true woman of Christ, care, and truly be there for her. God intended man and woman only to marry. As a result of marriage, they would produce and take care of a wonderful child. This is a gift from God. He should also be moderate in everything He does. He should not eat in excess, drink in excess because these things are not pleasing to God at all. A man should always be prudent in everything he does. He should always act with love and care which comes from our loving God. He should also be respectable and hospitable. A true man of God would respect everyone and not judge. He would always welcome them into their homes, and treat them like how they would want to be treated. We should be able and be in a condition to truly teach the word of God, and only the word of God. We should not be addicted to alcohol or drugs because it conflicts with our mind when we are getting together to study God's Word. When people use drugs and alcohol, it puts their mind in a state where they are not fully focusing on God to comfort them, they are seeking outside methods. People should definitely be peaceful and free from the love of money. The love of money is not productive because it takes away from your focus on God. You spend all of your time thinking about money instead of God. Raising a good family is the last thing that is listed here. The bible says that if you cannot take care of your family, then you cannot take care of a church. If you do all of these things, you can become an overseer of the church. If we fall short of these things, this is where prayer comes in.
